Demo Rides At Dalby: Frequently Asked Questions
You can demo Vala, Bullit, Nomad, Hightower and Bronson. Vala and Bullit demo rides are e-bike exclusive guided rides and cost £40. Nomad, Hightower and Bronson demo rides are available without guides for £40 for three hours.
Availability may vary, so it’s best to book ealy to secure your preferred model.
All demo rides start from Dalby Forest Cycle Hub, in the heart of Dalby Forest, North Yorkshire – home to the UK’s longest red route and a former UCI Mountain Bike World Cup course. All Dalby's waymarked bike trails start from outside "The Hub". Our qualified instructors will lead you on the best trails, which will be appropriate for the level of technicality you have chosen.
The morning ride, starting at 9.30am, uses red and black-graded trails, so riders need to be reasonably experienced and confident. The afternoon ride, at 2pm, uses blue and green trails, and is intended to be a steadier, more leisurely way to enjoy the forest.
Yes, please bring your own helmet and riding gear. You will not be permitted to join the guided rides without a helmet. We do have helmets available to hire should you not have your own, but no other protective clothing.
The booking fee is £60 for a guided e-bike ride but you will receive a £60 store credit, to be used at Dalby Forest Cycle Hub or our sister store Big Bear Bikes, whether you want to put it towards a bike or anything else. Anyone choosing the non e-bike demo rides for £40 will receive £40 store credit.
