It’s great fun trying out a bike, right? The excitement of having a go on something different, comparing it to your current ride and seeing how far you can push it. How about, instead of one bike, you could try out up to three?
We’re very proud to be hosting Trek for a weekend on the 16th and 17th October for what we’re calling the Dalby Demo Weekend, which will see this top manufacturer bringing six each of Slash, Fuel Ex and Rail for you lucky people to put through their paces. You will get access to the Trek team to talk through the range. We will set the bikes up for you and will have the chance to take one or more out on the trails!
So to the bikes!
Bike 1 - The incredible Trek Rail Electric Mountain Bike
Rail is one of the stars of the eMTB revolution and is hugely popular with riders who want some serious gnar but with a little power to help them back up the hill. The range runs from Rail 5 up to the high-spec Rail 9.9, and they’re all awesome e-bikes.
It’s also got custom decals. The frame is a dark green colour but the forks and rear shock now have orange stickers on instead of the stock black ones. The bright colour makes the bike really pop.
Bike 2 - MBUK's Enduro Bike Of The Year - The Trek Slash
Trek’s Slash is an absolute beast of a bike, winning MBUK's Enduro Bike Of The Year back in the summer. This bike is firm favourite of a number of the team at Dalby Forest Cycle Hub and also the team at our sister shop Big Bear Bikes in Pickering.
Trek describes Slash as “Monster truck meets magic carpet”. And we can tell you, it truly rips. Slash is a long-travel trail bike built for big all-mountain terrain, racing the clock on rugged enduro lines and having a rip-roaring good time in the rough.
We love it, you will too and you can ride this incredible bike at Dalby Forest this October.
Bike Number 3 - The Trek Fuel EX
The Trek Fuel Ex is a versatile full suspension mountain bike that’s fast on singletrack, capable in the rough and fun wherever you ride it. If you’re looking for one mountain bike that does it all, you’re heading down the right trail with Fuel EX.
The spec is first class and its a proven model in the Trek range - as a 29er we reckon it's one of the fastest ways to get round Dalby!
Registration is NOW OPEN for Dalby Demo Weekend with Trek. It's free to attend and the team from Trek along with the team you know at Dalby Forest Cycle Hub will be on hand to give talk you through the range and give you advice on which bike and what spec is best for the riding you do.
You can try out Slash, Fuel Ex or Rail on some of Dalby Forest’s fantastic trails and find out which you enjoy the most and where your heart lies ;)
